IUSM-Evansville is one of the nine campuses that constitute the Indiana University School of Medicine. Originally split between the campuses of the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana, IUSM-Evansville is now located within the University of Southern Indiana's Health Professions Center.
IUSM-Evansville shares many of its facilities with the University of Southern Indiana.
Students have access to:
- The IUSM-Evansville medical library (24/7 access).
- The University of Southern Indiana's library and gym.
- Free parking on campus.
IUSM-Evansville utilizes a semester scheduling system for both MS1 and MS2 students. Class attendance is not required, although most students attend lectures. Lectures are generally not recorded.
A mix of traditional lectures, labs, online lectures, and problem solving sessions depending on the class. Professors are around campus all the time and are happy to help with material.
Year-long: Introduction to Clinical Medicine I.
During the MS1 Fall semester, exams are administered in blocks and no quizzes are administered. Classes generally begin at 8 a.m.
During Spring semester, each class has about 1 exam per month, but are no longer grouped in blocks. Regular quizzes are administered in some classes. Classes generally begin at 9 a.m.
Year-long: Pharmacology and Introduction to Clinical Medicine II.
