IUSM-Terre Haute is one of the nine campuses that constitute the Indiana University School of Medicine. It is located on the campus of Indiana State University (ISU).
IUSM-Terre Haute shares many of its facilities with ISU. It is affiliated with Union hospital.
Students have access to:
- The IUSM-Terre Haute student lounge, multimedia room, and recreation center.
- The Landsbaum Center for Medical Education.
IUSM-Lafayette utilizes a semester scheduling system for both MS1 and MS2 students. Class attendance is not required, although most students attend lectures. Lectures are recorded during the Fall semester of the MS1 year, but not consistently afterwards.
Classes are mostly traditional lectures.
Classes generally start at 8 or 9 a.m. and end between 12 and 3 p.m.
Year-long: Introduction to Clinical Medicine I.
During the MS1 Fall semester, exams are administered in blocks.
During Spring semester, exams are individually scheduled.
- Clinical Problem Solving
During the MS2 year, exams are administered approximately once or twice a week.
Year-long: Pharmacology and Introduction to Clinical Medicine II.
